Things can be better

I just came from a 2 days seminar again in baguio with another group. Whats interesting is that one of the participants used to be one of the guidance councilor from SLU Boys High School in baguio where i use to study. And its funny that she remembers me and sabi nya sakin "Buti naman gumanda mga decisions mo, look at you now! im proud of you!"

I remember my high school days! dami ako di magandang ginawa and im glad i became responsible. So guys san man kayo right now. Maganda o medyo challenging always remember that you can change because its up to you.

The Emperors Challenge

Hi guys,

Its a rainy day today here in Ortigas and i just want to share this nice story.

There was once this Old Emperor who did not have a son who would succeed him. So one day he called for all the youth and gave them special seeds for them to plant. He challenged them and said that the person who would grow the most beautiful flower from this seeds he gave in one years time will be the next emperor.

In one of the crowd was this little boy who did not even want to be there but was forced by his mother to attend. So he got his seeds like everyone else and went home and started planting. weeks and months have passed with disappointment the boy was not able to grow not even a little plant.

The time came that everyone had to come back to the Emperor to present thier flowers, the boy hesitated to come because he felt he was a failure and did not want to be embarrassed. With much couragement from the mother the boy went to the emperor with just a pot in his hand. And as soons as he entered he saw everyone with beautiful flowers in their hands, and the moment he walked in the other children started laughing at the little boy.

Then the Emperor spoke and called for the boy to stand in his presence. He then proceeded by asking the boy. "What happened to your seed" the boy replied "Im sorry sir, i tried my best to plant and water and take care of the seed, but it seems that i did not succeed because it never did grow. I really did not want to come here but my mother insisted so here i am."

The Emperor stood up and said." This boy will be the next Emperor". You see This boy unlike all of you is HONEST. I gave all of you seeds that were boiled, hence none of the seeds will grow. And yet here is one boy who stood by it and had the courage to come here even without a flower"

Honesty is a powerful value that will allow us to stand with dignity and pride. Ask your self right now have you been very honest with all the people around you? Sometimes me need to speak the truth even if it means standing on your own.

I hope this is an inspiration to you guys as it had inspired me. My request is for you guys to reflect on this and post your realizations.

hmmm... the VRYLI was really a life changing experience... I've been in the NRYLI before( mont mention the year)... and GRABE...laki ng difference... kc dati, wehhh... nakakaantok ng tunai... d2, kamusta naman kung aantukin ka pah.... super participative lahat... it feels good poh na makakasayaw ka, makakakanta, makakapagsculpt and makakapagconduct without any fear of being rejected...

who would forget the XY game? cnu mga nagpaiyak kei kuya max...???? ehehehehe.... guilty... cge kc kmi kasayaw ng papaya dance!!! eheheheh... that game really strike me...shoot oh... kaya trying to live life guided by the tot of it... plus the 3R....

We (the delegates from Palawan State University) would really want to share it to our fellow PSUans... kuya max, san poh kaya kmi puede ask for modules.. para maganda ung re-echo namin poh... Fellow Rizalians, sna poh i-share nio rin xa sa mga youth... para masasabi naten na weve been really productive...

sna poh makasama pah kmi sa baguio... sna... sna.... sna...
and yup, since national xa... sna poh makayanan pa din na ganun kasaya ung conference... its a fact na mahirap magcontrol ng crowd...

and last question...kuya max... san poh kmi puede makahingi ng copy ng buong documentary ng VRYLI... we really like to have a copy of it poh... pleaseeeee.... thanx...
